I dont really know what you could get it off with. Clay???

Once you do get it off. Could you not wax it to give it some protection from the carbon deposits?

lots of elbow grease with the wire wool and autosol. it will come off.

AG intensive tar remover, leave it soak in for 10 mintues and then rub with the wire wool

already tried that, did nothing

i put some power spray on before and it seems potent stuff, didnt shift it though, but it was dirty already so maybe now its clean i should try it again

Wodpol is a metal polish made for the aerospace industry. I use it on any shiny bits i have! :)

to look at, you may think that those bits would come off easy, but thats the end result of lots of scrubbing with 00 wire wool and metal polish, plus an hour soak of fairy power spray, cant get it any better than that

some 2000 grit sandpaper and rub it down then buff to a shine with autosol followed by megs metal polyish to get that shiney perfectg finish!
