Exhaust heat shields on Williams

When you get a decat is there any reason to keep the heat shield that udes to lie next to the cat and the decat is now so far from the car? Also what about the one that protects the tyre if you dont have a spare? Are the heat shields really needed? They look pretty heavy. Good weight reduction.

Have you removed the back seats / seatbelt equiptment / spare wheel / toolkit / boot carpet / parcel shelf / carpets etc. yet? You might as well dump that sort of stuff first. Will definitely make the car quicker.

Seats are in i have no storage space. Spare wheel has gone as i always get the RAC out if i get a punture. Tools are out too.

i took the rear heatshield off, it rusts and looks crap..dont do anything anyway.

The one over the car covers the hole for the gear stick, so i wouldnt remove it.
