i have google set as my homepage on explorer.

sometimes when i type in what i need to and the list of sites come up, when i click on one, about 50% of the time the little tab at the top says redirect and it takes me to another search engine.

is this a virus or spyware or anything like that?

when this happens i also sometimes cant click back to get me back to my google results, i have to close the window and open a new window

Get chrome or firefox

You are a rare breed, only a few of your sort left who use Explorer.

Download Firefox or Chrome, that might help, if not for the sanity of website developers .

i heard that google have to give other search engines a chance too or something like that, is that what it is maybe?

Sounds like spyware. DL spybot, might sort it out.

So what benefit would there be to using Chrome or Firefox instead of Explorer?
