FAO Angel Eye owners...

  1.8 Civic EX

My eyes on at night....

Dont seem to light up the road that far in front (see pic). Dont even reach the back of the car about 15feet in front. dont light up road signs untill Im right under them either. Do you think the fact that I have lowered the front 35mm making that much difference? At first they were pointing over to the left but I straightened them up. Just dont seem to have any sort of range???

Anyone have the same issues??

If you lowered just the front then the lights will naturally be pointing lower - youd either have to lower the back a similar amount to correct it or adjust the lights upward!

Seems like quite a strong light though so they should be good once youve got it sorted.

*** At first they were pointing over to the left but I straightened them up.

I thought they were suposed to point slightly to the left - at least in right hand drive cars - could be wrong I guess

adjusting them upwards slightly should be easy though

I did think that. Aint tried it yet tho as I cant see that the brows would really make too much diff as the actual headlight bulb is in the centre of one of the rings not the actual ring itself (if that makes sense)..

Cheers, just went out and played arund with them. Getting better, light spread is a bit wider now instead of spotlight kinda directional like they were. Noticed there ar little screw typr things on the back of the lights?!?!? would these adjust the direction of the beam or do they just hold it together?!?!?

i had a go myself when i fitted them but then had them adjusted at the begining of the week as part of the mot and i took these (apologies for the crapness of the photos) last night - first pic is dipped, second main beam - i didnt get any others as the bloke got worried and drove away!

Right damn April Showers making this alot harder than what it should be! Im very confused now. The headlight is the outer one (purple circles) and the full beam is the inner on (yellow circles). The yellow ones clearly adjust the direction of the full beam but do the purple ones adjust the headlight position as they look as tho they hold the thing together instead of adjusting anything???? Im CONFUSED.COM!!!!:p

Bought 2 new Super Briliance ones. £13ish each. Replaced them and it still wernt working!! It was the friggin fuse haha!! :p

Finaly done, the big test tonight to see what they are like!

Tip for anyone else wanting to do this....... The yelow ones (in pic ^^^) adjust the Full Beam and the purple ones adjust the normal headlight beam. Its a lot easier to take the light cluster out, adjust it, put it back in and try it out. Trying to adjust with the lights bolted in place is a pain in the a*se and youll end up with cut knuckles much ike mine! People at work thought id been in a fight over the weekend cos of my knuckles!!

lol cool need to adjust mine, either the nearside needs to go down or the offside needs to go up lol, wot is the correct height 4 them?

Dunno about correct height or position, just doing what looks good and lights up more of the road. Still aint tried them tonight, cant be bothered to turn the car round to point down the road instead of straight at the back of my bros car. aslong as they aint too high to blind the person your following or the oncoming traffic then should be fine.
