  Megane 225 F1
LOL I remember when someone tried to sell one for a stupid amount because it was the only one for sale at the time.

Guys, I sent out a mass email to see who had any in stock, most are coming back with a lead time of about 4 week when the next delivery will be.

I've also found that Paul White at Demon tweeks has some in stock and can do them for a reasonable price, he can be reached on 01978 663025 or email :paul White <PaulW@demon-tweeks.co.uk>

I'll update you if I get any more info. through.

Supply vs demand... seems everyone wants one, and rightly so it seems. Prices are only going to go up and up, surely?

Time for other manufacturers to put clio rear anti-roll bar on the market to fill some of this demand?

I had mine fitted today at K-Tec and it is a massive improvement! Running it with standard dampers and Sportline springs

Might get one of these to compliment the bilsteins that are on the way Im sure both together would transform the car.

makes me smile, was 3 years ago+ i did a magazine review on these and no one purchased one! now every f**ker wants one!

Remember seeing that.

IIRC sure people on here didnt originally rate it ?
Bit like the dephaser thing. They never used to be a problem till about 2 years ago now its a must change part at every opportunity. New breed of forum sheep thats what it is lol

Just picked up one of these, as well as a full polybush set for the front, hopefully the rear ARB will get rid of the little bit of understeer my puremotorsport kit induced!

Interesting you say that because I've noticed less sharp turn-in after changing from AST adjustable mounts to PM's top mount & strut brace kit, and that's with camber bolts fitted set to max negative camber. However, she's going in for a full suspension geometry session tomorrow to check all is as it should be.

HAI!

Seemed fair to me given the efforts I went to to get it, and the wait time for any new stock.

Some people didn't agree though, :p.

Glad I kept it, its great.

does it make that much difference on the road? I use mine for a b road blast every now and then but thats about it.

It stops the 'float' you get on the road when changing direction (where the rear end seems to take a split second to react).

It adds roll resistance, it will only improve anything really if your current spring rates are incorrect.

The general effect of more roll resistance at the rear is to lessen understeer and increase oversteer.

If your car is well setup to begin with, you risk making it worse.

Tony, what did you do when you removed yours? Move to a more adjustable ARB setup or just remove and rely on spring rates alone?

No, over the winter we fitted a 182 cup rear beam, this has a slightly thicker built in arb to star with, and we had the Pure Motorsport kit welded to the beam, so this has effectively stiffened it all up as well.

After testing at Brands yesterday, we made the decision that we no longer require it, this is good, as we need the money.

Yeah money is always useful when you are racing I would imagine :)

Ideal solution longer term would be a bladed one really and drop the spring rates so that you can really adjust it easily for each track, although there is a lot to be said for just running a consistant setup and not having to relearn the car everytime you go out of course!

Oh we have plenty of adjustment.

We are at the stage now, that the car only needs a few little tweaks either way and it's drivable.

If we had a limitless budget, then obviously we could squeeze an odd 1/2 a second here and there, but what we have will do.

You undersold that massively Tony!!!!

Could have put it up for £150 delivered & bought 40 jars of that hot curry sauce with the extra £££'s.
i did a search on here before listing and nearly new ones were going for £150. Thought £100 was reasonable for one thats had a lot of use and been repainted.

Sounds like a great place to be in :)

All the best for the coming season.
