FAO - cliocup (or anybody else with Ford X-flow engine parts





CLiocup: still havent caught your name yet. Have you still got the x-flow, i know its a mystery to you whats in it, but i would take it if you could be a little more sure....maybe just take off the head and sump to see crank/con rods, any head porting. As imnot too willing to part with cash on a mysterious engine. what carbs is it running?

Also, if anybody knows people who have/tune/sell X-flow part please let me know.

Sorry not been on this week, been at silverstone testing all week.

I will try and have a look at this fengine in a bit more detail or you. Not sure when ill be able to though, bit hard to find the time at the moment. What you been up to anyway?

i got a test with renault elf team (formula renault) this summer, hopefully im on the team, If not, i can always go back to clio cup racing.
Robbie, cheers, ill remember that. No rush with the engine, all in your own time, but im just lookin for a good solid 130-140bhp to push me around a bit faster...or shall i say pull.
not been up to much, france was cool, and not a prob with the 20 yr old X-flow. Except it blew a hole in the front pipe, and i could do huge backfires for about a week.....scarred a sh*t load of people, 5100rpom, let off and by 4000rpm.......*BANG*.....like a bloody gun, and a mate said flames were shoting out!!!! wicked. Replaced it with an ashley manifold, but didt buy teh rest of teh system as i didnt like the tailpipe, i already had made a twin 60mm centre exit system, so didnt want to waste it, but the bloody manifold had totally different boe and connection. took ages to mod it to fit, and now it souds more raspy and less hard...oh well....also heat wrapped it, and got tonnes of metal splinter...grrr.
bout it, oh, and its got N20 now....its pretty fun.
