Fitted my V6 box directly to my tb today between the rain showers but it seems to partly squash one of the header tanks feeds, its very slight and im not to bothered about it but I was concerned about the airbox rubbing againist and causing a split, anyone else had this issue?

Crappy phone pics attached!

Infact looking at the second pic it seems to rub even worse against the bottom pipe!

what benefits does this give (bolting directly to TB?)

Can open, worms everywhere ;)

Not much really. you could try a slightly longer bit of silicone pipe to move it away from the coolent hoses. I'd be more worried it's blocking them :S Doesn't look too bad though really

As above probably not much if anything but I wanted to try it, just went out for a quick blast in the rain (yay) and it "feels" more repsonsive, probably bs though :)

The bottom hose isnt being hit at all, its a mile away from it, that picture is a little misleading! The hoses arnt blocked at all, its only just touching it really, thats why I was concerned about it rubbing and making a hole!

I might try an open cone bolted directly onto the tb though, will see :)

If its touching the hose then it will certainly wear through it eventually. Worth shortening the coolant pipe so that the bend sits nearer to the tank.

Probably a stupid question but is it safe enough to remove this pipe and trim abit off for ease?

No need to remove it, loosen the clip, slide the hose further onto the tank fitting and do the clip back up, run a razor around the pipe to shorten it (on the correct side of the hose!), then loosen the clip, slide the hose on further. I'd do it when the engine is stone cold to prevent any significant pressure/heat.

Good idea, can tell why you do what you do! ;)

Trimmed about an inch off the pipe and pulled the filter down slightly and its now clear ;)
