Rockingham should be a great venue for it. Everything should be much closer together, facilities will be better and track action has the potential to be much better too.

ClioSport will be attending again this year. Hopefully to put in the same kind of attendance as last year, you guys did us proud!!!

I've moved your thread in here John as it will be a club event! :D

They need to pull something good out of the bag next year after this year's disaster!

Hopefully the new venue will be a sign of good things to come :approve:

Hi Folks

Just to clarify FCS2007 was just confirmed yesterday and I told one person and the news spreed faster than light.

The venue had to be changed as it could no longer accomodate the size of the show as no one liked to walk and 2006 lost the atmosphere of previous years.

We held a meeting with the major clubs (as discussed by Northy) and we took all the points made on board and came up with Rockingham.

1 - No major walking
2 - Whole show inside the place
3 - Trade area in paddock and pit garages
4 - New live arena (by request) with three stunt shows doing 2 repeat performances
5 - A proper race track to drive on track time which has a very good name
6 - Proper toilet blocks at venue
7 - Grandstands
8 - Viewing from top of pit garages.

This whole venue puts to bed the 1 mile straight form last year.

No VIP in 2007 either.

As trade is in one area (not spread over 1/2 mile) you will actually get to appreciate what companies attend as they will be easy to find and be in one rectangle.

We have invested lots in this show as we had out grown brunts so I really hope we can work together and make this specialised show even better.

This show has far more to offer than the likes of Trax as its aimed at our market.

Final word on last year, if we had used the same set up as the very SUCCESSFUL lay out of 2005 it would have been cancelled due to rain but many don't know that. No buses to mental distances etc etc

As ever I am here to answer questions.

Hopefully we will get the proper details out before rumour control takes over.

And finally I will make it my personal aim to get Maz at the show and show it will be better. New venue, new set up, new investment in show.

Thanks
Mark

The venue does look alot better - But one thing that i believe the clubs should of had is feedback from that meeting.

Ohh and to answer Northys post. He thought I had left him out of the loop on this, I have discussed this with him.

And another point, no show is prepared to book brunts as they are being taken to court by the local authority and no one knows if they book they could lose it.

I sent an email to you and it has been resent again with full break down. I don't want to post that email as that assumes we are back at brunts. I don't know why you didn't get it but it shows it was sent to you.

Folks, meeting was a positive thing. Ask Pootle. We had 14 top clubs there and asked them what they wanted at FCS2007 and how to develop it for the better and we have acted on that.

liking the later date, more time to get my car sorted! however i'll miss the may show earlier in the year as it broke them up a bit.

track is a million times better as well.

we will do 30 minute sessions and guaranteed only club cars and one sponosrs vehicle.

Brunts was a joke, the owners sons and mates appeared on track doing donuts. So unprofessional. Rockingham is a proper set up.

sounding promising at this stage. I trust similar prices will be deployed?

sounds a bit better, I 'may' go... dunno which stand I'll be going on though... would look a bit odd parked up with a load of Williamseses and hybrids...

We discussed prices at the club meeting and said to bring live action and a proper venue will incur a moddest increase from £10 to £12.50 advanced price.

Track is in the region of £30 for 30 minutes. So 12 x 30 minute sessions.

Track will be limited as it only runs for 6 hours whereas we squeezed 8 hours into FCS06.

I think it all sounds like a step in the right direction. It sounds very similar to a French car only version of Trax, which can only be a good thing IMO.

Sounds an excellent move Mark. I think the move to Rockingham will help resolve a lot of the issues Pootle and myself raised at the meeting. Sounds like a great move to me!
