Ferodo DS2500 and Carbone Lorraine by KTEC

  Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup
I have recently fitted a set of DS2500 pads on the front of my 172 cup with high carbon brembo discs as recommended by Shaun @ K-TEC. After bedding in as per the instuctions, these pads grip like nothing else I have tried. Especially from cold which was what I needed while sprinting the car. Can't recommend highly enough! I am also about to try some Carbone Lorraine pads on the rear which K-TEC tell me are even better than the Ds's. Will bring you an update after the sprint at the weekend.

just fitted a set of carbon lorraine pads and a pair of brembo discs on the front, the difference is huge!

they're squeky like crazy though, ktec said put a little copper grease on them which I did, i think it needs alot more. will be doing that tomorrow.

how will the mess the wheels up? you mean dust?

the full blown race pads do have harsh dust, and they do squeal, but they bloody work

there's no problem running race pads everyday, its just the noise that gets on yer tits

cheers will give the carriers a proper clean up and apply copper grease directly on them and then modify the plates.

gave the carriers a good clean, along with the springs, adjusted springs, greased all contact surfaces up and the squeeks are still there.

think i will have to live with it!

To stop the squeky do a track day and get a lot of heat in them
Yes the dust fcuks the wheels up when it rust after a rains fall and them comes off as you drive and goes all over the sides of the car and the only way to get it off is wheel cleaner :(
