first PC attempt

I bought a PC from Legohead on here the other day :D (nice guy btw hope you get the car sorted lol) and gave it a quick shot this evenin only did half the bonnet. I will get some more pics when i do it properly but i was hurrying (thread copied and pasted from my local forum)

Went round Ants garage earlier and had a little play on the bonnet. thought id show you all a couple of pics. Did half and half for comparison. I was actually really suprised how easy it was. pretty idiot proof aswell which is good. 8)

I didnt use a strong polish as i havnt tried it before so didnt wanna screw it up and it could look a hell of alot better if i spent more time but i didnt wanna bore ant to much

Process was on mine
Sonus SFX2 pad with Pinnacle xmt fine swirl remover.
Sonus SFX1 pad with Pinnacle super fine swirl remover
then put a coat of autoglym super resin on and topped with this american carnuba wax. (harly wax)

(dunno if thatl mean anything to anyone but thought id say anyway)
pics arnt amazing as they were taken from my phone

One of Ants below but to be honest you cant really appereciate the difference as i was hurrying...

As the paintwork is swirled quite badly so i used a slightly stronger polish (Sonus SFX1 polish) with the SFX1 pad followed by the SFX2 pad and some fine swirl remover

The bit i polished was where my head is you can see how bad the swirls are

Again i could have done a better job if id taken longer and you cant really appreciate the difference but it was alot better. i think he wants me to do the whole car at some point anyway

All in all the machine cost me 100 notes (as i was going halves with someone 175 total) and it came with the tranny 3 pads 3 polishes an extension lead and a few other bits and bobs. If you ask me a really good price because suprisingly enough its kinda enjoyable seeing the difference as you go along and easier than you think but doing it all the time for a living would be boring lol. Anyway enjoy any questions just ask

thanks Rich - I need to get some more pads really but i was really impressed with the pinnacle/sonus stuff. and the sonus pads dont seem to bad (not that id really know) but they seemed to do there job well. What pads do you reccomend? i was looking at the menz ones purely because they were cheap but also do they all come with a velcro back on them??

  106 GTi
Sonus SFX pads are good - I use them and the Menzerna polishing pads myself.

They should all have the velcro pads on them.
