Gave her a quick wash, never had time to polish, wax or apply any trim or tyre dressing!

possibly the last pics of the car with the 1.2 16v in it as the waterpump gave up today and pissed out all the coolant, so just need to wait till feburary to start my conversion :)

The mirrors are not colour coded to the car? (cant quite make them out)

yep wing mirrors are the only difference, has full interior, spoiler, wheel, fogs, and got a set of colourcoded wing mirror caps coming for it lol.

well actually it doesnt have the dials with trip computer, auto wipers, or auto lights but they're just annoying ;)

other exterior mods are colourcoded 172 door handles, diadem indicator bulbs front and back, civic ariel

its got apex -60mm kit, powerflex bushes, 195/50/15 eagle F1's, OMP front and rear strut brace

cheers for the comments guys, spent an absolute fortune on it replacing nearly everything thats wear and tear etc so far its had....

new gearbox
new clutch with clutch cable
new wheel bearings all round
new rear brakes
uprated front brakes (black diamond disks with ebc green stuff pads)
new suspension (apex kit)

next month its getting 1.6 16v engine with supersprint engine back exhaust!

  Leon Cupra R 225
this car is going to have one hell of a story if you get the 1.6 conversion

then a 2.0 lump I guess after that 1.6 has covered 130k!

conversion kit is £995+Vat, or was when i last checked in november!

£580 for exhaust
£230 for viper

god knows how much for cams, headwork and remap! will get engine in with exhaust and filter fited first then once its all running think about more power.

only reason its getting 1.6 conversion is its the biggest engine conversion i can insure and no ones done much with this engine so i fancy being one of the first. plus my suspension and brakes etc all fit on so dont need replaced

probably will end up with a 2.0 16v conversion in a couple of years, as ive got another clio coming my way in a year rather cheap, sitting at 72k miles at the moment on a 05 plate lol

  Turbos.
It will be good to see a modified 1.6 engine, seen any TBs available for it? Should see who makes them for the Clio rally cars.

want to put it on TB's but not sure, lot of money might wait untill its got a 2.0 then TB it but just all depends how much i like the 1600 16v engine

  The Beast MK4
Nice as always dude.

Take it easy during the conversion as John and Dave are now quivering wrecks after their ordeal lol

is it really worth the hassle converting it? nice car btw

no hastle involved with conversion, will be done in a weekend once all the parts are here

exterior is nearly finished just waiting on the carzone bodykit and my 18's coming..... NOT lol

getting colourcoded, light tints, xenons and thats it finished exterior wise

ICE is all here and fitted just not sorted a boot build yet as im skint with christmas so need to wait till next month, will just be a simple false floor, no fibre glass etc.

then 1.6 16v engine, viper and exhaust going on and then at a later point, cams and remap likely

al

  ST on the way...

The 1.6 is a cracking engine, completely different to the 1.2 16v :D

cheers for all the comments guys..

S Garbett, rear bearings were done at 118k, but will have been done before that i assume lol

Alan, its 1:30 so i better not txt you but i will tomorrow! im free tuesday! as far as i know anyway

R20 CWH, aye should be nice, not doing it to make it rapid because it wont just since im paying for a new engine thought id get something a bit different to make it worth while.

£995+ VAT? Are you fitting it yourself? if nto where you getting it done, I was thinking of upgrading to a 1.6 but if a conversion isn't that expensive then that might be a better option...

yep fitting it myself, to be honest, conversions arnt worth it unless you are doing it yourself, your looking at atleast £1000-£1500 fitting at your average garage. you might find local guys who will do it as a homer for about £500-£700 at weekends.

why are you not fitting an f4r martin?

insurance?

or is it the extras required that would make it too costly?

i've never driven a 1.6 tbh, the bodyshell looks amazing considering the mileage though! top job.

cheers for the comments mate, yeah its all about insurance, but not just that, to be fair at 18 i think a 2.0 16v is just too powerfull for me anyway, even although i am fairly sensible and know my limits i still think id push it too far because id likely think it was the fastest thing in the world.

not putting the 1.6 in it to make it rapid, it needs a new engine/rebuild so would rather put something a bit different in since im going to all the effort in the first place if you know what i mean?.

Kneel, wouldnt do conversions for people as im no mechanic lol just like to work away at my own pace on my own car with help from mates when/if i get stuck!! got to be someone local that would do it for you though!
