first time iphone question

ive just one a iphone 8gb on ebay, im due to get it on tuesday. Ive got a problem though....

Ive got a ipod touch 16gb (which is for sale-pm me) when i plug the iphone into my itunes what will happen? will it copy all my library onto it? or will it delete the my library on my comp and ill and start with nothing

Also how do i not upgrade my iphone so i can still use if on tmobile?

Unlock the phone with Liberty/Ziphone.

Plug iPhone in and authorise it, it won't delete your library as those files are phyically on your PC.
