Fitted my H&R's today but need some help please!

  172 Cup SOLD
Fitted some H&R's to the cup today....it'll be getting set up properly at Mark Fish asap, but for the moment we temporarly set it to 50mm at the front and wound the backs all the way down (so 50mm) to keep the default stance on the car (and also because it was easier!)

The tyres are hitting the front of the inner arch liner when I turn even the slightest left or right of go down dips in the road.

I'm sure people have gone 50mm or lower before....how have you overcome this?

Have people removed the plastic inner arch liner, because in theory it's only fouling on a very small bit of that...or is there another solution?

I may well raise them 5-10mm and hopefully over come the problem but just wondered if there was something else i'm missing

Cheers in advance

erm, you sure you fitted them right?
reason i say that is this....
Cup alloys are ET38...
My ultras are ET37 so even wider.

I got my rears wound right down now due to not having back seats in. But it looks the same as it did when mark fish did it. I have not touched the fronts...

anyway, i got crap loads of room around the tyres... only time i have rubbed is whn on track on one particular corner which really punished the front left and the splitter was almost scraping the tarmac.

got a pic you can post up to compare?

Mines the same and I have raised it three times now its actually the bumper bracket behind that bit of arch liner, I can see a big hammer cumin out soon or a wee bit of angle grnding.

I haven't got any pics....although I may try and get some tonight after work.......pretty confident there fitted correctly though.

They seem to be catching on a very small area of the plastic.....it's not big at all.

S22 JGS - how low are you currently on the front?

Iain - Same as above to you?

Im also running the 205 tyres Dan, so i cant understand why you would be getting rubbing. Here is a side on pic of mine.

Cool, well hopefully I'll be able to get down there this weekend or maybe next and get it sorted......might raise the front 10mm to sort it tonight

mine did this too - I just cut the section of inner arch that it was rubbing out and all sorted.
Although is back again at the moment as using different tyres and tread sticks out more so getting some eagles again on wednesday

ull be lucky mate.
He is testing the 197 at Silverstone this weekend i think.

Bollox!

Oh well, i'll give him a call later today or tomorrow morning after I've had some tweaking done to see when he can fit me in!

Tim - how easy was it to cut out, it's litterally fouling on section no bigger than 10cm x 10cm i would say

Cut the arch liner then either bend, hammer or angle grind the wing/bumper bracket so it doesnt foul and jobs a good-un.
