Fitting bonnet stay

As per title; any ideas how to fit the bonnet stay from my old bonnet onto my new one that's on the car?
It's rivited in to the old bonnet, so presume it must be drilled out. Do I then just simply get hold of a pop riveter and attach it to the new bonnet?

Forgot to do it when I fitted the new bonnet and when I got it on the ramps for its service, couldn't keep the bonnet up! Trusty old broom came in handy.

Bump, just remembered that I forgot to do this before....doh.

Yes drill out the rivets and fit new ones to the new bonnet
