Fitting coilovers - adjuster hitting wheel

  ph1 track weapon
Hi all,

Just in the process of fitting the new coilovers to the 172.

Gone for GAZ adjustables and the adjuster ring on the front is catching the inside of the wheel! Anyone encountered this issue? Or are standard 172 wheels just a gay offset?

Nope dot think they arerob, so options are raise it or fit spacers.

What offset are standard 172 5 spokes?

  172/1.2/E30
Offset is 48.5. Had to use spacers (5mm) on mine due to clearance problems between spring seat and wheel.

Its tucking tyre at the min, so don't wanna go lower. Gonna raise it til I get the new wheels in a few days :)

That or some spacers

They cleared fine on my PH1 without any spacers or anything, so I don't know if there is some differences there between the PH1 and the PH2.

Try raising it a tad Ed, although, from what you have told me it sounds rather low? ;)

By the sounds of things I reckon it's the horrifically weak offset of the standard wheels as f1s and turinis are 43 or less so have best part of 6mm clearance more than these ones.

New wheels are 37 I think so should clear by miles!

New wheels on their way so hoping the issue will be resolved :) et43 will hopefully clear the wheels

somehow, pro race 1.2s seem closer to shocks, but gap is still there! its about half a finger but guessing thats ok right?
