Fitting Renault cat to manifold kit

Picked up my Renault manifold to cat fitting kit earlier.

Has anybody got any pics of where all the washers go and which way round bits go?

There's 2 metal washers, and 2 plasticy cardboard sort. Which goes where?

And does the nut go towards the cat end or manifold end?

I cant remember the exact order but search my friend!. Its been answered loads of times. All I can tell you is the nut goes the cat end.

It's the fiber washer I don't get

The gasket goes inbetween the manifold flange and the cat 'spout'.
The bolts are then built up with the cup on first, pushed through the flange. Then the metal washer, fibre washer, spring, cap and finally the nut.

Ok.

How important is it that the fiber washer is fiber? Mine split trying to get it out of a cup in the bag lol.

Can I use a metal one?

Not sure tbh mate. Maybe its to stop the spring rattling?.

I doubt it, the springs are under so much tension when fully tight I can't see them rattling,

Only thing I can think is maybe to keep the heat of the manifold away from the springs so they don't get that hot they loose their springiness

maybe. But my old bolts and springs were ratlling thats why I changed mine.

That was probably more because of the gasget worn
