fixing pressure washer

hi guys basically i was given a electric pressure washer about 3 yrs ago , all worked fine although only a cheap one i think , i went to use it last yr and it wouldnt power up , then today i tried it and it powered up , switched it off , went to use it again , powered up then cut out and wont start again , whats the areas i should be checking ? i dont wanna spend any money on it as id be better off buying another really . thanks . ps i know im sounding tight lol

Was there water left in it when you stopped using it? Could have frozen and broke something when it expanded.

im not sure mate , but if that was the case i dont think it would have started up both times 2day ? im thinking loose connection somewhere ..

no idea mate just a little red 1 lol , quite powerful tho for what it is . i think its challenge ?

there should be a fan on it with a grill infront of it ? check is the fan moves?

Have you changed the fuse in the plug? Start from one end of the machine and work through it.

yeah changed the fuse and still the same , also the metal fan thing spins freely , there seems to be some power getting to it as theres a very very VERY faint humming noise coming from inside when its plugged in

Take it apart have a look for corrosion, and while your there take a look at the pressure switch.
