So my second trip to the Ring, 1,200 miles 9 laps (I had planned on doing more ) but lots and lots of crashes and ring closures meant I couldn't get as many laps in as I would have liked.
The 172 was great apart from a few niggles the splitter was catching in fast tight corners and over the higher curbs (I left my H&R spanners at home so couldn't raise it a little) I lost a jubilee clip that holds the oil breater pipe onto the back of the engine, and the battery didn't want to start first time Monday morning. So all in all very happy with the old girl she is now on 149,500 and it didn't drink a drop of oil the whole trip!
Planning on going back again late summer!

Quick Update:
I Noticed last month after not staring the 172 for about 10 days it struggled to start, the same thing happened again a couple of weeks ago at the Ring. So on Monday I ordered a lightweight Odyssey 25 battery/ cage and new terminals wire etc. By Thursday the battey still hadn't arrived from tweaks so I contacted them, and was told that the batteries were now on back order! I tried a few other places and was told the same thing no Odyseey batteries in stock until mid May. So I ordered a Varley red top 25 battery- cage Friday, luckily this arrived mid morning yesterday.
So yesterday @Christopher. came over to mine to fit the new battery and move the ECU bracket, thanks again Chris

I am off to Wales in a couple of weeks with some of the SC guys, so need to get the following done before then..
4 new tyres to go on the white set of 2118's probably a set of Federal RSR's
Oil change
New set of spark plugs
Maybe change the rear brake pads/discs

Send me the link when you do mate! I had a bike get in my way at karussel too. Threw me a bit as I wasn't sure if he was going to move, or if he'd even seen me. That's what the over revs all about in my lap video! Thought I was in 4th dropping down into 3rd!

How did u find the Linder Ferienpark? Going to be staying there later in the summer for the first time. Looks nice enough from ur pics and heard some good feedback

I reckon on average now about 7.5k per year mate, so a few years yet!
I really like Linder Ferienpark I have stayed there twice now. Cheap, nice clean and roomy chalets, with plenty of parking and not far from the 'Ring

@Fletcher @TimR26 @Cub. operation 'sub 8:15' will more than likely to be in 2016 for me now, so I shall keep you posted if you fancy going at the same time. It's usually around the same time as the truck racing or dtm is on at the gp circuit when I go as well (July/August). James (BIGASH) will be riding shotgun with me either way.
Linder Ferienpark is great, I wouldn't stay anywhere else now.
July or August should be ideal for me. I'm hoping to go again this year if the R26 is ready.

How much is it to stay at the Linder Ferienpark out of interest? I normally stay in leafy herschbroich. The hotel is pretty much directly below the karussell. Just a shame it's a 30min uphill walk to get there! Lol!

It cost us €345 for three nights. They're three bedroom houses with two twins and a single so comfortably take 3 to 5 people.
