Found a large bit of foam falling out of engine bay?!

I noticed a large bit of foam was hanging down from my undertray the other day, so pulled it out thinking it was much smaller than it acutally was. Does anyone know if this bit of foam should be in the eing bay somehwere or is it just debree that has got caught up (and somehow shoved) inbetween the engine and undertray?

also is my undertray complete or has a bit broken off? the foam was hanging out of the undertray where theres like a square cut out in the right of the picture below (where the gear linkage is)...

Thanks Dan. How does it soak up oil if its covered in plastic anyway :s ? does it look like my undertray is complete or has a chunk gone missing?

No picture in your post but I'm sure mine has a rectacular cut out on the back edge at the gear linkage. As for the foam better in the bin. Just soaks up liquid and gets very very heavy.
