Nice work mark :D.

It takes some balls not to lift off going into there, especially knowing there's a pitlane full of people watching the outcome ;) Don't think i've managed not to lift just a little yet.

It might be a bit flat and featureless but I still love the Bedford for stuff like this :)

Awesome, I spun a CSR there showing off to some billies on a corporate day!

Swallowed my pride and prooved it can be taken sideways on the next lap!

Brilliant stuff :)

1st day I did at bedford, some tool span a ferrari testarossa there, and ended up spinning the length of the pit straight and parked up at the end of pit lane ready to go! Spent the next couple of hours picking gravel out of all his vents.

bet thats a damn sight harder harder than it looks ,im there on saturday so hopefully be dry and can try it myself .
What would be a decent lap time you reckon?

yoz has done the length of the pit straight sideways/backwards/forwards/sideways/clouds of smoke in a V6 (not mine thank f**k!), its was so spectacular it made it on to men and motors!

flat it 4th through there in "le 1.2" is scary!

I used all the extra track on the outside of Tower last time I was at Bedford. I can't remember how hard I was pushing round there, but there were a couple of laps when I had no choice but to use the extra bit.

SteveV6 on the other hand went in a little to hot, lifted and we did a 720 then carried on. Highly amusing as I was the passenger at the time.

I missed it as me and tony were out at the time :dapprove:

Was it brown trouser territory?

Not scary at all. Maybe I just don't have a fear of being killed in a car accident these days. lol It all happened very slowly and Steve just enjoyed every moment of it. We were both pissing ourselves with laughter. :D

Didn't feel too bad...I'd been building up to it for a few laps, and finally thought f*** it, I'll have a go.

Thought I was going to run out of exit so I'm going to try easing off the throttle a tiny bit next time to help it rotate more. At least there's stacks of run off until I get that right.

No idea on lap time, there's so many different circuits they run.

find it weird your talking like this mark...not sure on something

all i can remember is you sitting next to me at the airfield on one of my runs saying you can go flat through those tyres, nah surely not....ohhh well i will keep my foot in and see what happens (marks meant to be a good driver he must know what he's on about)....

pull the other one !!,youve done gt circuit a few times you must know how long a lap takes roughly from your videos.

you been snetterton Mark? The corner before the main long back straight is a good one, lots of run off on the exit but very bumpy, not quite flat but close to it hehe

good vid mate

just seen your vid ,the clio that lived .Brilliant!.
Dave
edit.
watching the focus vid with you following shows about a 3min 12 lap but he must have been holding you up to the tune of maybe 8-10 seconds a lap would you say ,your obviously getting really quick on the track now ,so i reckon now you would be maybe just ducking under 3 mins.

hey lee was it you at bedford yesterday in red ish colour clio with gdi stickers ?
got you on video if it was .
gutted for almagrhbi,he did one lap before beng black flagged for noise.

p.s i was very close to flat round tower but not 100%,i was having to change up from 3rd to 4th just before the turn in ,its hard to compare different cars through a corner though as my 3rd /4th gear top speed might be lower/higher than a clios 3rd/4th gear top speed so i could have arrived at the corner physically to fast to be able to take it flat, especially with having 220 bhp/ton.
Awesome track but my fun was spoilt after dinner on my first lap out with a clutch pipe failure leading to loss of pressure in the hydraulics.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you drive?

3rd would have been almost enough...but it is too short for me to carry all the way through tower, so I just short-shift into 4th before turning in. At least then with the lower torgue I can just nail it right through without fear of pushing wide.

aah,i didnt realise you were short shifting,i see your reasoning and it makes sense now because obviously you dont want to change up mid corner.Different for me though as i was redlining 3rd at 93 mph and had to take 4th before turning in.
