Quick little update .
Just re-built my engine and more cleaning duties, progress has been a slow TBH with work and been on holiday for 2 weeks in Spain, but here we go
A good old set of ARP's
Ive spent a lot of time on this engine making sure everything is right and I think its really payed off with the results
Happened to click on your first post by mistake and saw the 'get a cuppa' subject, did just that.
Had a read and been hooked on this since... A very good read indeed. Although it was the worst possible start, pleased to see you are rescuing it and taken the approach of being in too deep to get out.
Subscribed to this thread, keep up the great work. Drop me a pm when it comes to insuring it and will sort it out for you
I'd just change the seats for some buckets, the standard cup ones are terrible looking.Cheers lads. Xxx : )
I did get hold of steve but he kinda hung up on me when i told him about the car being linked to a burglary .
Ive took out the front seats today to take out all the carpet and clean. Full of dog hairs. Plus gonna run a power lead to the battery anyway which im putting inthe boot bit whilst im in there out comes everything.
Thinking about stripping it all out ???????? To make her lighter but everything seems very light anyway. Ill c how it goes.

So, after you have finished with this one... you wanna do the same with my flamer for me
In all seriousness, very tempted to do the same this weekend and give it a good ol' clean from underneath.
Long winded job or was it quite straight forward?
Might sound like an odd question.. When you removed the rear bench, how did you get the seat backs out of the but they attach to by the wheel arches? I have mine a good pull but couldn't get them out!
Love your project, inspiring stuff. Would love to have a second car so I don't have to rely on mine to be road worthy and I could learn enough to do this!
One bloody good project thread.
Take my hat off to you! keep up the good work look forward to the end result
Won't that filter be over where the ecu fits?
Nice one mucka
Where you moved the Ecu and fuse box too? Got any pics etc? You had to extend wires etc?
