Front Coilover troubles

After purchasing a set of coilovers off here and being told all the cups moved freely I fitted them to my car yesterday to find that the bottom locking cup moves up and down fine(ish) but the main cup that holds the spring are both stuck!

Ive tried tapping my c spanner around with a hammer with no luck. Any other ideas apart from cutting them off and getting replacements?

Dunno, i hate my car at the moment. Might go and swap back for my original shocks in a minute. Going to my dads in the morning as he has more tools than me to have a fook about with them.

I wouldn't want to heat them up really, soak them in releasing oil (WD40 etc) and leave them overnight to soak through and try again.

Nope not sorted, ive emailed the seller saying how pissed I am about it. Ive soaked them in some WD40 with the hope of moving them at my dads before the meet tommorow. Im not holding up much hope though.

had to soak my kw's in penetrating fluid. then used a flatblade screwdriver in one of the slots with a hammer. luckily one hit and mine was moving freely.
