Fuel rail leak.

  Trophy #473
Having a day off thought i would sort my front bumper that has taken a few lives over the past months and fix some of the broken mounts as a result.
I open the bonnet to undo a few bolts and it smelt of fuel.... I havnt used the car yet today!?
I traced the smell to the fuel rail where there was a load of what looked like oil and dirt, but it was infact fuel and dust! i pulled the fuel inlet plug off the rail and cleaned it up, I then noticed on Oring on the plug that was in an bad state! there are two rings, a black outer and a red inner one, the one that has disintigrated was the outer black one, so had to just remove it and plug it back in.
started the car and all seemed fine, it didnt leak or spray out.
best get that sorted soon. may explain my shite fuel consuption lately. I ve got pics but no cable to link tot the computer or reader.
