Inferno 182
I would say around 215bhp based on the mods (luckys had the same setup with a 182 manifold and had 222bhp) in a car that weighs around a ton so say 215bhp/ton for arguments sake.
Whats a scooby weigh? 1300kg? plus 4 wheel drive transmission loss so say the scooby would need 280bhp+ to stay with him. In the video the clio slaughters the Scooby so the Scooby must be running low 200bhp.
I would say based on the spec it would be as quick as an M3 but wouldnt go away from it like it did against the scooby.
Hi, Im not douting the clios quick just that his scoob is definatley slow. If the scoob spent half as much as the clio did on the engine it would be a different story altogether
My classic when tuned at 270bhp on the tiny UK TD04 turbo kept up easy with an M3 ( P reg 320bhp) from a rolling start. From the lights I did leave him though. Once I changed to a slightly bigger turbo (VF28) to get 313bhp then it became far to easy to pass cars and became a bit boring to be honest.
I used this http://letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp and found it to be quite accurate. Its the easyest way to see whos cars quicker. As the results will be from the same calculator and all things being relative it is a fair comparrisson.
A classic scoob weighs 1200kg or less if its an RA. I have found that the clio does like tighter bends a bit more compared to the impreza do to the clio being so small and nimbble.
SO whats next for the clio? I think a nice bottle of NOS would fit nicely in the boot You should get at least 270bhp then
