Getting the rear bench out a Mk2 Ph2

How do you get the rear bench out of the mk2 ph2, i've pulled the seats forward, then each side you can half pull them out. There is a bolt in the middle do you need 2 undo that to get the rest of it out?

Any ideas? Step by step guide would be helpful lol

i thought it was 1 big torx bit and then they came out......... never done it tho

Its a T40 torx bit you need for the back. Me and EvilJohn did a guide while doing my car. I'll just find it just now.

Ah brilliant cheers for that. How much difference does it make removing the rear bench, handling response etc?

Dunno, I put my new dynamique interior in straight after but id imagine the weight loss will improve acceleration a tad.
