depends if you just replace the belt or the whole kit with tensioner and all. there is a guide on here i think, can be done with normal garage tools

Thought this might be the place to ask , where do you guys go for Renault specialist work? Most of the popular names around the forum are all up north(ish) or far down south!

Trade n Save are the old Renault garage, opposite Tesco opposite the old cattle market. They did my cam belt change. They are Renault specialists and did a good job of mine. Or Renault? Do they have a workshop?

forgot about them, i was told they still have access to some of the old microfiche for old renaults. useless info but good for people like me who have the old stuff as well as modern.

I used them on my old 172. They did the belts etc for. Was a quick turn around, friendly and priced fair. Was about 5 years ago. Not sure what they're like now. Will be using them on my current 172 though once it's due.
Most of them are ex Renault main dealer mechanics. Years of experience between them.

Did you ever find a specialist? Or end up going with the garage by the Tesco?

I have also seen said LY. Totally ignored me she did :expressionless::confused:

@jezer101 I've used Trade n Save by Tesco for my can belt change. Brilliant service from them. I will be using them again for specialist jobs I can't do at home. I wish I could have got my car to them when the power steering pipe failed (or put more effort to get there and walk back) than use Swift Fit on Cole Avenue behind ECP - they broke my throttle cable holder, none of the bolts holding various panels were back in the right hole, light adjustment motor wasn't attached to anything (why they needed this off I don't know) and the bonnet sensor isn't attached to anything and I can't find where it should be attached too in the loom. So yeah, avoid Swift Fit.

We must be below her in our 1*2s.

I didn't know they existed tbh, i know Formula1 autocentre and go to Apd alot for my parts.

Will keep trade n save in mind, but i hoping to save aome pennies and have a bash at the cambelt myself now.

I see a white 200 with Cup spoiler and black wheels in Tewkesbury all the time! I've driven past in my EDC several times though and not been 'spotted', so guess they're not on here... but if anyone sees me about, give us a wave! Can't be many white EDC's around these parts...

Seeing as there's a few people from around Gloucestershire on here, anyone know someone who'd be good to fit a cat-back exhaust? They don't need to supply, just fit...cheers lads!

Must be some decent exhaust shops around somewhere or just a trusted garage?

I quite often see a couple of RB 182's floating around down by me in Lydney (05 plate with white stripes in Blakeney last night) , I work in Gloucester but as mines not road legal I get to drive around incognito in a mk3 tce, or the Merc gas guzzler

Yep that's the one. Only out in it at the weekend. Got the van as a work horse through the week, car never barely leaves the drive mon to fri.
There's a young lad in aylburton (I think) who has an RB. See it parked up near the misses mums a lot. So that's probably the other one you've seen lydney area. Don't know him, only looks around 19/20.
