Good Deal on a 172 Flamer?

  PH-QUICK
Went and saw a 53 plate flamer today, completely standard and mint, very nice example. But it had 91k on the clock with one previous owner, at £3900 which i thought was a bit steep.

But the main man there also offer me £1250 p/x on my T reg mk2ph1 RT with 66k on with all the extras ive put on it like 172 seats and rims, so i'd be paying £2650 difference.

opinions???

I'm by no means an expert on the subject but if the milage was that high then for that price I'd want full documented history, MOT, tax and mint condition inside and out. Just my opinion. There are so many out there you can afford to be picky.

Did get the test drive, very nice it were too. Think i will keep this one in the bank and keep looking this week, don't see it selling before then.

91k is a lot tbh. I'd not even go and look at it. I know that if cars are looked after they go one for ages, but unless it's silly cheap (which it isn't) i'd not be tempted at all.

Also, if you can sell your car privately, do that.

I paid £3995 for my Y-Reg Phase 2 seven months ago and it only had 52k on the clock. I was more than happy to sacrifice the age of the car for the condition of it...
