No. (hopefully). He should admit it was his fault.

Have you contacted your insurance company?

  none :(
yeah contacted the insurance - im with greenlight
been really helpful.

what will happen will my mods will i be able to have them back or will the insurance company keep them

  MR2 2.0 N/A & Mk1 1.2Clio
probably not, most insurers will replace standard parts only. were the mods declared?

  BMW M135i
Though on the no claims front even though you won't loose you no claims it does seem to push your premuim up even though it wasn't your fault.
My mates mum got rear ended by a taxi driver and when he came to renew (she was a named driver on his policy) it bumped his premuim up about £300.

May not be the same for you, could've just been admiral being funny.

Yeah Angel One Call or something. They're crap. I hated every minute of my claim with greenlight/highway/angel one s**t. Absolutely useless. Need about 20 numbers, 36 reference numbers and 17 different claim handlers.

cheers darth

so do i just keep hounding them every couple of hours
how long did it take for your claim to get sorted mate

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2
Yeah keep hounding them. Do you need your courtesy car for work?? It really depends on your circumstances but you need to hound them. Remember you pay hundreds of pounds a year for this so make sure its what you want. If you need a courtesy car now - then kick up a stink. The more you shout the quicker you'll be dealt with.

Mine probably took a month or more. I had all my mods declared with green light but ultimately only got paid out for a basic car. f**king stinks eh.

The reason being the insurance company look at the original parts and find out how much they cost. I.e. I had coilovers, but they go to Renault and find out how much a new set of suspension from them is. Probably £800 rrp, so they look at how much my coilovers cost £700 that ultimately means I owe them £100... same goes for my interior, bucket seats, carbon bonnet etc...

Its the last time I ever ever ever have a modified car. Absolute bullshit.

  none :(
the insurance have finally pulled the fingers out their arses and are delivering a car today for me, this is only after 4 phones calls every 2 hours

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2
s**t isn't it. There should be some kind of investigation into how crap insurance companies are.

Oh knobble - I forgot to say, make a note of every phone call, time/date and whom you spoke to and what was said in case you need to complain.

  Clio Mk1 1.4RT
Good luck with it all buddy. Hope you get it sorted soon, like everyone else said make sure you constantly checking that they are on the case and sorting it.

  Focus ST3 + proper Mini
Oh the joys of Highway/Greenlight/HIC. Totally useless.
Took over 3 months for them to sort my claim out.

good luck with your claim.

Defo get to the doctors ASAP, the longer you leave it the less chance you would have of making any claim for compensation.

  Clio 1.6 16v Dynamique +
Sorry to hear you got hit, glad they are going to repair it though. Like said by others, get to the doctors QUICK and get that claim in. My Hubbys brother did the same, got over 1500 for his claim, and don't forget your Mrs bad back, that could mean another 2-3k as backs as more fragile and play up often after injuries. Even if it isn't THAT bad, play on it like hell! Good luck!

Best thing to do is not to get your insurers involved and handle it yourself if there is no fault on your part, as involving them will lead to an increased premium. Someone has probably already said this.

Its funny how rear ending someone is not perceived as dangerous driving. My mate is being done for dangerous driving for excessive speed, there was no accident he just pulled away from a wanker in a black saab (a cop) that tormented him however if he rear ended the wanker it would have just been an insurance job.

yep! hows your back and neck feeling!? bit of whiplash!!?? ;)

Some one did this to me when I rear-ended them and i hate people who 'fake' whiplash for the sake of an extra £1k, every time I have to say that there was an injury claimed against me my insurance quote goes up super high! I hope you gte your car sorted out mate, and that you recover everything.
