h&r coilovers on a 172

I have the above on my mk1 172 which have been on the car for about 2 years. I wanted to adjust the front slightly but have found that the adjuster platforms are seized and I cannot free them. Spayed them with wd40 but still no good!
Any ideas what I could try to free them!

Plenty of wd40, the C spanner and a big fuckin hammer.. it'l free off

Been using the c spanner and hammer to the point that the indents in the adjuster platforms are starting to split on the edges!

Ooh dear.. u sure u hittin it the right way?? have u tried adjusting the upper ring upwards first

Definately going the right way. I managed to free the bottom ring but the top one is stuck!!

I've got the same problem mate. There a right pain in the ass. Maybe try and take em off and soak em. i dunno.


I just ended up leaving them really bloody low. At least the car still looks nice
