Hard disk data recovery

We had a backup hard disk here in work for storing Acronis images. It was split into 2 partitions with 1 part holding boot files and the second partition holding the backup files.

Ive tried to use it today and the second partition seems to have lost its data as when i try to access the drive windows is looking me to format it.

Any software out there to recover the files? Or any ideas how i can save them?

depends on what state the drives in, try Partition Magic 8 or ontrack data recovery tool

I find Easeus Data Recovery to be the best to use when i need to do data recovery.
