Has anybody fitted an aftermarket steering wheel to a mk2 non sport?

As above. I am attempting to do this but i think i have the wrong boss. Can anyone link me to one that they have used?

And also how hard are they to install. I managed to get the one i have on but theirs a bit sticking out the back of it that gets in the way and theirs no where that i can see that the wires go through. I think i have a ph1 sport boss and unfortunately cant return it as i have had it for too long.

Hopefully it can be made to fit by modifying it but if not then ill just need to buy a new boss.

If you modified would that mean that the angle sensor would not work tho?

I'd have thought they would have been the same boss for across the Mk2 Range, well Ph2 and onwards?

I thought they were all the same as well but the one i got was off of demon tweeks and it said it would fit my car but it doesn't and after looking at pics to try and find out it looks as if the one i have is for the ph1 sport i have seen aftermarket wheels on mk2 ph2 non sports so in guessing its a different boss from the one i have.

I only said that because I saw it earlier, couldn't you sell your boss on ebay and buy a different one pal?

Oh i didn't know it would be an m.o.t failure. It seems more hassle than its actually worth. I might just sell both the wheel and the boss.

I was wanting to change it as the wheel i have now is looking really horrible and worn. Would a 172/182 wheel fit?
