Ive always seemed to want a change of car over the past 3-4 Ive owned, but the clio is the first one where Ive thought to myself that I could see me keeping it for a good couple of years before getting something else to runaround in.

After spotting that ZX 16v yesterday (4k thread in other marques) its been playing on my mind and Im starting to get that itch again. Ive got visions of owning both at least, but struggling to determine which Id keep as a main car and which as a stripped out weekender.

Given Im broke I really should have a word with myself, and stop thinking that theres a good £1500 of credit card left yet.

If your going to get a 2nd car, dont downgrade.

Buy a Proper Bug(chilling during the week) or a proper Mini(Weekender).

Nah. The appeal of the 16v is that they cost a pittance to buy and go like sh*te off a greased shovel. And those engines are good for a very easy 200+bhp whilst still keeping them NA.

Im trying to convince myself that using the last of my credit cardr is a very, very bad idea.

I think Im definitely going to keep my eyes open for one though when Ive paid the clio off this time next year.

Easier just to buy something thats 200bhp.

Matt, just going off what Ken the boffin at RE was telling us on the NW RR day.

The engine in the 306 Rallye I drove was a far sweeter engine than in the Valver.

Tom - stop it. It might just be one of my whims again. Ive now owned 4 cars in 4 years FFS!

Its a ZX with the same as the GTi-6 engine in.
