Have i been sent the wrong AB snow foam lance?

not sure if it is me being stupid, but it will not twist and lock, mostly due to the size of the fitting i have a Nilfisk washer

Looks like it Mikey. I have a nilfisk and ab snowfoam and this is what my adapter looks like.
