Stück a couple hours into it last night. Enjoying it but proper tactical and need a good squad. Should mean the Cod cheats etc don't come near it


Proper hardcore, sweatyness but really visceral to play



Xbox for me but it is cross play on the platforms, not sure if you can squad up though

Bought it a while ago for the PC. Didn’t give it the chance back then which I should have.

Perhaps the most visceral WW2 game I’ve yet played. One squad I was part of held off some Germans trying to storm the building we were in, only to then be pinned down by an MG42 from a nearby clock tower.

Play it with headphones and slightly louder than you’d have it normally and it really is immersive.

This is the main problem. Go in with your friends all excited, get picked off from nowhere, try to get back to them, repeat. I heard that they removed muzzle flashes a while back making it even harder to spot people. It is very atmospheric though, watching a mass artillery bombardment creep towards you is 😱

In the end the three of us moved to tank gameplay so that we would all die and respawn together. Even that could be a struggle at times, but it was still fun because I mapped everything to my steering wheel through Steam. Unfortunately one of the updates before release changed all the controls for the vehicles and screwed that up for me.

@Moonshot and @NorthloopCup have asked me if it was any good recently and I gave some middling to negative answer haha. Could be just that I don't have the patience for the type of game it is, or maybe with a bigger squad of people I actually want to talk to it would be more fun?!

Oh yeah I've never really like the audio, makes it even harder to figure out where shots are coming from.

I went on PS+ the other day and noticed I forgotten about this months games and downloaded this game and also the Golf game even though I probably won’t play the golf game. But at some point very soon I will give Hell Let Loose a go for sure.

I thought that was one of the best but also worst features of the game - literally being dumped in it with no idea what to do.

I also find it surprising that some reviewers have commented on the audio as being lacking. It was by far and away one of its best features, for me. I could tell the direction of fire, have a good indication of distance and also jumped slightly when killed by a loud single shot. I haven’t got that fancy a set of headphones either.

I think you'd be best getting in a squad and just asking the more experienced people what to do tbh. Just expect to be getting bollocked by the people that think it's real.

Lol yep. They'll be sat at their PCs with private and sergeant badges on, not quite being able to see the screen through a fog generator on their desk and burning incense sticks that smell exactly like lit gunpowder.

There was bitter fighting over the central objective of Sainte-Mère-Église yesterday. The Germans pushed us back but even they would not admit that it was a clear cut victory.

At one point I pushed into the German held AA battery and found Corporal @Cub. wounded in a farmhouse and comforted him until he could be evacuated. Last I heard he was sent to the rear to act as aide to General Felix.

Corporal Cub was dealing with a code brown.

He needed lots of comforting as for the first half of the mission, he genuinely had no idea what was going on 😂😂
