Hello - new 172 owner.

[DAMO 40/172]

Picked up my first 172 last night and i love it!

Been reading and gathering info from here for last month or so and hopefully with the info gathered picked up a good un.

Got a 2001 172 exclusive and im alreday loving it. Having been an Alfa driver for years i got all sensible last year and bought a Pug HDI, the bills for the Alfas finally took their toll and thought id go all reliable and cheap to run. Driven the Pug for seven months and hated pretty much every mile! Fortunately the missus passed her test last month so i gift wrapped the Pug and gave it to her!

Looked at lots of options and finally went for the 172 as my new car, found the exclusive, had it checked out and bought it last night. Took it out for its first real spin tonight out in the Peak district and loved every mile. The car is pretty standard but for a K&N and drives superb.

Anyhow thats my little intoduction, Damo.
