HELP - NEW CLIO 182 OWNER

Picked my new 182 up on Friday... however found this sat in the engine bay next to the air filter/cold air feed..... Couldnt believe it!

Anyway heres a photo, I have no idea what it is, and if someone can identify it will certainly help with the explanation to the dealer, as they were clueless about the basics let alone something like this... and also this isnt the only thing that was wrong with my "brand new car" :(

jon,

I believe it goes in the front plastic panel by the near-side headlight and connects to the alarm sender as the bonnet is hooked up the alarm. youll probably see a black hole where it should be and a cable and clip underneath. assemble accordingly and clip back into place.

omg at alarm switch, unbelievable!!!

:(

they are gonna get such a *******

surely without that my alarm should be going off as it will never be pressed - thus it thinking my bonnet has been opened?????

knowing renault they wont really give a sh*t !!, they will probably say its part of the cup weight saving , there f**king idiots mate

mine aint a cup though :p although it does have the cup suspension + spoilers!

Ill get some photos of it up at some point, it needs a wash after driving 500 miles in it at the weekend! I cant stop driving it lol

Its a bit of a leap from a 1.4 saxo but after making that leap I dont know how I managed to drive my old saxo anywhere lol

Right then

Just checked under the bonnet and theres a switch already been put in that is exactly the same... thats probably why my alarm never went off, think I best keep it though just in case :)

thanks again, lets hope I dont need to ask any more of these types of questions as Renault should be the ones with the answers... lol

probably dropped it when putting it in, and never bothered finding it, i had a bolt stuck down the side of mine that some renault monkey dropped and couldnt be arsed to get
