Help required fitting gearbox mount!!

  ph1 172
I'm currently fitting the uprated upper gearbox mount to my car. After fitting the new one the threaded bar/stud in the middle of the mount is now sticking slightly proud of the alloy battery tray carrier. As shown in pictures;

Can anyone confirm if I've fitted the mount incorrectly? I've tried with the alloy spacer underneath but couldn't get any threads through on the bar to get a nut on.

I'm sure I've done something wrong but after a few cans of stella whilst fitting I'm not at my sharpest:eek:

Any help appretiated.

It was once I worked out which way round it was supposed to go:eek:

Basically;

N/S wheel off.
Plastic undertray off.
Support gear box with a bit of wood on a trolley jack.
Airbox off.
Disconnect battery and remove.
Remove ecu brackets and put ecu out of the way.
Remove old mount (theres a tricky nut underneath the battery tray)
Fit new mount and put other bits back together.

Note; I have no arch liners on mine and this was an advantage to removing the nut under the battery tray. So removing the N/S arch liner would make things easier.
You could remove the battery tray to access it better but wouldn't help when fitting the new one.

The O/S Engine mount was really staright forward though. 20 minute job.

Can't wait to test drive it tommorow now. I couldn't rock the engine by hand after fitting these and started it up and gave it a few little revs and there was no movement at all.
