High mileage oil change

Car  Clio RS 2003
Hello, guys.

I'm soon going to have to change the oil in my 03' RS. Untill now I only used the Renault Elf 5w40 oil, as recommended by the producer. Right now, the car has 150.000km (93205 miles). Some people told me that with km growing, I should change the oil to something else, with a different viscosity. What do you guys think?

The car is a daily driver.

Thank you!

I would stick with 5w 40 or 10w 40. So long as servicing has been done and belts changed at right intervals, it should be fine to carry on as you have been.

Please, thats not high - my 172 is on 153k miles and doesn't use a drop despite repeated trampings on track.

I swear by 9k oil/filter changes and use ELF SXR 5w/40

Stick to what the manufacturer has recommended, they've recommended it for a reason.
