horn not working

was beeping my horn the other day as i went round some country lanes to warn off any other cars, and all of a sudden the horn stopped. when i got home i checked the horn itself and all its wires, which were all good and dandy, then i checked the fuse box, and similarily that was fine. ive got the mk2 ph1, where the horn is on the indicator stalk, and i think its that, any suggestions of what it could be or how it can be fixed

Did you check if it is securly bolted to the bracket, as the bracket doubles up as the earting point and if its loose/rusted it wont work. If your horn is faulty you can get cheap replacements from Halfords that bolt on.
