you can get a bolt etraction kit, otherwise you could just scrap the whole car and buy another one without the snapped off bolt :rasp:

Get yourself a good set of drills.

Start small & work up in size, aim for the centre of bolt.

Quite often by the time you have gone through several drills it comes away.

Had this prob on VAG.

anyone know how much it would cost to drill it out?
where can i go if i cant do it?
where do i get the bolt etraction kit from?
how much does a new hub cost, if all fails?

i know it sounds obvious but have you taken the wheel off? sometimes it's possible to twist the bolt out if there is any of it stuck out of the hub.

Also, depending on how tight it is, you could use a centre-punch to tap it round and hopefully it will break lose :)

i drilled it out but it took fookin' ages. you have to be careful not to foul the threads as you get near the end too.

All done!

Firstly we tried drilling a hole in the broken bolt and use an easy out to extract it , but as the bolt was made from hardend steel i had no chance with my drill bits. So after a few seconds of thinking i used a center punch to unwind the bolt this was done by making two intends on the bolt and using a hammer to turn the bolt. After a few turns we used a pair of grips to unwind it.

My locking wheel bolt snapped on the front wheel about 6 months ago. Worried me a little at first, but soon forgot about it.

Hasn't presented a problem since.
