How do you remove a 182 spoiler? (I need to so I can remove tints)

Hi all,

I'm contemplating removing my window tints which were on the car when I got it (as I hate the 'image' they carry with them, I'm 25, not 17). However I have realised that the spoiler needs to come off the back in order to remove the rear tint. How do I do this?

Also, the tints I have seem very professionally applied, I can't see where the window and tint actually meet each other. Will heating it up in a corner with a hair dryer be enough to get it starting to peel?

I feel stupid now, I've just read that a window tint goes on the INSIDE of the glass. Is this right?

Yes.

I assume I don't need to take the spoiler off to remove the rear tint in that case?

Nope, Inside.

Use a blade to lift the tint, A Hairdryer to melt the glue, And something to take the excess glue off the glass.

Probably need to be careful so you don't damage the heating element inside the rear window.

i'm contemplating doing this on mine, it has professional tints on rear side windows and rear window from when i bought it. i can't decided with or without as i don't really notice them that much, but when i do it's like, hmmm, i bet it would look better without tints...

I'm exactly the same. Think I might have a go at removing them on Sunday.
