From some posts I've been reading, am I correct in saying that a re-map improves torque in the lower rev range?
Please correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the car in closed loop mode at lower RPM? If so this would mean that the adjusted maps aren't being used as the O2 sensor will be in communication with the ECU to keep the AFR as close to optimum as poss. I was of the understanding that the adjusted maps would only be used at higher RPM or more throttle, so I can't understand how low down torque is improved?? Can someone clarify this one for me??
Cheers guys
