How does this sound - DCi Valuation

Looking at getting a Clio DCi 80 I have found.

Its has 72,000 miles, part service history, needs the belts done, owner sounds very genuine and has owned for over 2 years. HPI clear.

Since its the expression model I will be upgrading everything to the Dynamique model overtime for personal prefrence and for it to hopefully appeal more when I come round to sell it.

Have managed to get it down to £1,700. Need to travel a fair bit though.

How does that sound price wise?

Part service history, avoid.

Plus if you want a Dynamique spec, just wait and buy a Dynamique. Would work out cheaper, especially when the engine blows it's guts because it has had the same oil in it for 30,000 miles.

I'd be slightly concerned about PSH, the belts shouldn't cost you more than £350 (I can recommend the garage I used if you want).

Its a 2002, 80's seem much more rare to come buy and hold there vaue better. I have been watching a few on eBay and the Dynamique seems to go for a lot more than an a expression

If it's got a sunroof avoid it! Rattle rattle rattle!

Expression is decent spec, won't have the sport seats but as you saw from mine they're hardly worth paying extra for. You can take a gamble on it, get it serviced straight away and get the belts done and hope it's alright.

If its overdue belts and its miles away i'd be trailering it back. The sods law theory states that the belt will snap driving it home!
