***How much is it worth?***

Thanks everyone for opinions. Haven't looked at values for a while so was thinking I might only get around 2k for mine with a new engine and all the belts and dephaser done which was making me wonder if it was worth it.

Just had a look on ebay and there are a couple with around 130k up for 4k, one for 3.5k which dosen't list mileage and one with 81,000 for 6k.

Look like I need to stop being a fanny, buy all the bits and get an engine 🤣

Iceberg silver 51 plate, got a few marks over it worst being a large mark on the front bumper below the headlight ( caught it with my land rover 🤦) but drives very well. Got camber bolts and rear hub shims, interior is pretty good but not mint. Has the faintest whine in 5th and uses no oil or water. Had belts done in December with proof, any ideas folks? 118,000 miles

Sorry misread, thought the belts were due In December :/

Guess as I've not looked for a while. 1200-1500 gearbox dependant?

I'd say 1500 at least with belts done.

I was looking at 172 prices the other night as i thought my cup was only worth around 2k, if the ones around at the moment for sale are an accurate idea of what they are going for (which they might not be!) I reckon I should be advertising it for 3500 😯

Evening all,
Slightly odd one but is there any value in a completely rot free pearl black phase 1 shell? Decided to cut my thumb off this weekend gone so no more car restoration for me!
would sell the shell with all the bumpers, wings, bonnet, headlights and the relevant gubbins making it ideal for a reshell?
Going to break the car but just think it would be a damn shame for the shell to just go to scrap seems as I've just had all the rot cut out and the underside back to bare metal and protected with dinitrol.

Pics of thumb (stump?). How'd it happen?

I guess the sheel has some value to the right person but finding that person may take some time.

Having now had the car since March. I am now wondering:
A) have i paid the right price for the car.
B) what would it be worth if I was to now sell it (no plans to at the moment)

2005
RB with both cup packs (noted on original invoice)
120k on the clock.
Every single bit of paperwork/history in relation to the car (huge folder even including original invoice etc)
Totally original, no mods.
1 previous owner.
Few small dings here and there. Nothing too major.
Belts are due this year.

Fuuuck. Sorry to hear that mate - How much did you lop off?

Any chance you can store the car for a while until your better?
Left about 2mm of thumbnail left, doctor said if I was a few mm more down would have lost the bend in my thumb, so silver linings I suppose!
I have now had a few offers of help to put her back together so all may not be lost yet🤞

Nice one, hope you get it back together mate. Stubby thumb is loads better than no thumb, I'd say that was a result (y)

(sorry couldn't resist)

  Clio 197 F1
Hi there, just after an idea of what my 2007 Clio 197 F1 is worth. Probably looking to sell in the next few weeks but wanting an idea of what it’ll be worth.

It’s a 2007 on an 07 registration, finished in Black and has done around 86,500 miles. It features the full F1 decals and is almost completely standard apart from a Powerflex engine mount and ITG air filter.

Unfortunately it only has part service history, does have some stamps in the book but a few years missing. I had the oil & filter replaced in late March when I got the car.
Cambelt was replaced in October 2020 with proof.
MOT until November 2021.

Exterior wise, there are a few marks here and there, but nothing more than what you’d expect from a car of this age. There is a minor scuff on one corner of the rear bumper. Comes with Yokohama AD08R tyres with good tread. Wheels are mostly ok but a couple of them have a bit of scuffing on, so may need refurbishing.

Interior wise, it has the Recaro seats, with slight wear on the bolsters but not completely ripped apart. Comes with 2 keys, 1 only works keyless and 1 only works with the key, but they both open and start the vehicle.

It’s a brilliant car, I’m only thinking about selling as I miss my Nissan 350Z...

Thanks

Thinking £3,499 for my 182, any thoughts?

Clio 182 ‘Full Fat’ in Black Gold – Both Cup Packs
2 keys (originals)
Recaro Trendline seats on Jon Foz frames (no rips or tears, selling for over £1k on eBay)
142k miles (read on as many parts replaced)
Belts, dephaser & water pump replaced Sept 2019 by Beaniesport – 2k miles ago
FSH – comes with new service book as original is completely filled.
Mot until Feb 2022 (no advisories)
Michelin Pilot Sport 3s all round – lots of tread (rears only 2k miles old). Alloys refurbed last year & ceramic coated

2 previous owners, I have had this car since 2012 and covered nearly 100k, but it is now time to move on to something a little different. Fully maintained in my ownership by specialists including 519 Automotive and Beaniesport, with plenty of work recently done. Interim oil changes completed by myself every 6k miles.

To summarise a few bits done:

•All suspension bushes and components replaced with OEM, nothing factory original. Also had a recent 4 wheel alignment.
•Clutch, rear main seal and 5th gear synchro just replaced. Refilled with Redline MTL GL4
•Engine radiator, Air con condenser, dryer and pressure valve all replaced with new. Filled with Type D coolant.
•New genuine alternator installed in the last few hundred miles with genuine aux belt.
•’Snappy’ steering wheel refurb – leather with alcantara bottom section.
•Oil sump seal, oil and filter just replaced with genuine Renault parts
•Both front ABS rings replaced as well as the NSF sensor (Bosch)
•Brand new SNR wheel bearing NSF
•Rear end also refreshed – stripped and undersealed. Powder coated rear beam (new whiteline bushes), genuine rear brake lines and pair of handbrake cables.
•One of the last genuine cup brake lights on the market purchased and fitted.
•Genuine high pressure PAS hose replaced (the one that goes all around the engine bay (£486 bill)
•Pas fluid just flushed and changed.
•Spark plugs and front lambda changed in 2020
•Full list available here -

Mods:

•Ktec Ultra Performance cat back exhaust.
•Ktec induction kit with battery cover.
•Powerflex upper engine mount & dogbone.
•Eibach Sportline lowering springs.
•Eibach front camber bolts (nothing dramatic, close to -2°).
•Braided brake hoses.
•PMS rear anti-roll bar.

Other

Chips and a number of very small cracks in the windshield (have been filled). I wanted to keep the original factory screen for as long as possible - does not come up during MOT tests so I have left as is.
Paint is average given the age, but there are marks, stone chips, car park dings etc.

Included with sale at asking price –

  • Ferodo DS1.11 pads with Brembo HC discs – lots of life left
  • RsTuner device, ideal for diagnostics / live feeds etc
  • Speedline Vega’s with AR-1s – probably an evening / 1 track day left

More than you paid for it n but not as much as you've put into it. Probably would sell for more as a standard car. Any tidy 172 seems to be priced with a 3 at the start now.

Thanks guys. You're probably right Porl I suppose I'll probably take the wheels off as I don't think many people are bothered about JDM Y0 wheels. Similar with the seats, got standard stuff to put back in so it's no bother.

Those rims are amazing on it IMO although not to everyones taste. As you say would get more for selling them separately I'm sure

Pretty rare car in that condition with the spec, definitely worth more split. It’s got a couple of grands worth of seats hasn’t it? Which you will never realise the money for. Probably best selling the car standard and the upgrades separately. As a straight 172 in flame red, with the recent cambelt etc it’s worth £3k to try right person

How come you're moving it on so soon anyway?

  Ph2 172, R34 Skyline
I’m in no rush, I’m gearing up to get another R34 so just trying to take stock a bit and get all my ducks in a row ha. It’s a cracker I don’t particularly want to move it on if I don’t have to!

What do we reckon my Clio 172 is worth?
Looks like I'm going to have to sell it now 😔
Done 151k but wouldn't have got to that if not looked after. Bumpers are scuffed unfortunately but probably less of an issue as it's higher miles and unlikely people looking for something mint.
Never been smoked in afaik, Aircon still works and belts+Dephaser+water pump was done last year.

Unsure wether its time to part with my clio, got the Horn for a 140i or M car. But struggling with what to price it at!
As the market seems all over the place!

Renault Clio 182 FullFat In Arctic Blue Registered in 2004 (54)
Registration: N13TTH For any checks you wish to Carry out. Will be Sold on Original Reg.
2 Keys

69,400 Genuine miles backed up by VOSA.

The car has Mot Until 28th Of April 2022

Large folder full of old receipts, invoices and service history

For sale is my Pride and Joy, the car has been Dry stored since my ownership in a friends Unit, and then moved to my garage and sadly doesnt get used or enjoyed like it should. (As you can see from the MOT history) And prior to my ownership it Sat in the corner of the previous owners garage and again was rarely used.

This is a well specced and heavily Unused car, it's been built and then not used for what it was built for, this isn't the usual Ripped apart and hammered car. That being said there is a few blemishes on the vehicle and car park markings (all prior to my ownership) I've recently had the bumper resprayed due do stone chips and scratches and also the bonnet replaced and painted at the same time as these are common to collect dents in the centre.
Wingmirrors and Cup Spoiler also painted at the same time.
The car is an absolute pleasure to drive, drives straight true and perfectly! Comes with an abundance of paperwork and both past and present receipts.
Ive owned the car since June 2017 then got the car to where it is today and Done less than 1000miles both Pre and Post modification So I'm in no way rushed to sell the vehicle or desperate for money. So if you've got to wait for the dole to clear, A scratch card win or you'll swap me for a knicked crosser then dont message me and I dont want to swap for ANYTHING what so ever.

Value opinions?

2003 (53)
Iceberg silver
118k
3 prev owners

Had it coming a year but I’m really liking the recent 200 purchase more than I expected so thinking of selling the 172.

Good

Custom remap
Matched inlets (also painted metallic grey)
Bigger throttle body
Induction kit
Ktec stealth exhaust (has AM cat)
185bhp (on RR)
Had clutch few years back (light for a 1*2)
Engine seems sweet and pulls really well
Gearbox works fine
Brembo HC discs (last year)
PBS pro race pads (last year)
ATE 200 brake fluid
Speedline Turinis with Michelin PS3’s
Eibach springs
Trophy spoiler (I think that’s right)
Momo boss (have OE wheel)
Momo half suede wheel
Cruise buttons mounted to boss
PH1 horn stalk
Spare set of 172 wheels
DAB head unit (have original)

Serviced it couple times since I’ve had it with genuine filter and millers CFS. Also changed the gearbox oil with correct Elf oil. Fitted new gearbox pivot bush few weeks back.

Bad

Belt due
Gearbox selector has slight leak

I would do the belt but I’ve so little time with work at the moment (and it’s about to get a whole lot worse) and I’ve got 3 cars that all need some attention.

Car drives really well and there’s no unwanted noises. Pulls really well even from low down (much better than my old stock 172). I do love it but I can’t see me doing the belt for a while as the 200 needs gearbox rebuild and my sti needs a belt too. It’s either flog it now or it’ll prob be for sale next year with belts done etc.

I need some value opinions of my 172 If possible. I’ve really wanted an E46 M3 for a while now and If I’m to make that happen I’ll need to move the Clio on. Spec below;

Clio 172 track car
Engine stripped checked and built with new gaskets belt water pump etc in April 2020 and group n timing done.
New clutch

Mapped at EFI tuning making 184.9bhp 170lbft torque.
Ktec induction kit
182 manifold ktec link pipe to ktec res exhaust.
Gaz gha coilovers camber bolts
Poly bushed front end
Epas installed with linked standard rack
Forge coolant hoses
Nankang NS2-r tyres on Oz f1 wheels
Fully stripped with sparco drivers bucket seat on Jon foz extra low frame and corbeau passenger seat on Jon foz frame.
Kode steering wheel
Interior loom relocated and removed unnecessary wiring including behind dash.
Clocks show 146500 miles.
PMS carbon shifter
Whiteline rear arb
Brembo Hc discs with ferodo ds2500 pads and braided lines.
Sparco full through dash cage.
Scroth harness (out of date for racing)
Lightweight door
This car is really only a harness, electrical cut off and fire extinguisher away from being able to be raced.
MOT until January 2022
Bodywork isn’t too bad for a 20 year old car, front bumper is probably the worst thing about it.

Contemplating a change as had my car for around six and a half years:

2010 Clio 200 Cup in Storm Grey
93k miles
Mot’d until December
Air conditioning
Renault drilled front brake discs
ITG panel air filter
A few stone chips, alloy scrapes and parking dings but not bad for a car that is almost 11
All receipts kept

Any ideas on its potential value?
