Which don't reflect the actual price of the car. How much were you thinking
i know what you mean but if i was just to sell it with everything on, no hastle sell, i would expect estimation to be with everything above in mind.

not a clue on price, that's why I'm here, paid very little for car but put alot of money in it. not sure if i need to part it out to get as much money back as possible as everything is pretty new on it. As it stands i'm in it for £3.5k but i obviously don't expect that much back

Thing is with these cars and most cars tbh is that you’ll never make money on them with purchases deemed maintenance/wear and tear, unless it’s a low owner/mileage minter. I’d be keeping it for a bit longer and use it to get some of your money’s worth out of it. Then see about getting rid. Just my 5 pence. On the other hand decent Monacos are getting hard to come by. Most people that have clios tend to enjoy them for being what they are good at. Why not go down the turbo route with it if you’re looking for boost?

ye, i wouldn't expect money back for stuff like track rod end/ball joints/sensors/spark plugs etc. general maintenance stuff. would have thought alternator/ps pump/powerflex bushings/lowering springs/new cup shocks around/cambelt/auxbelt etc. would add value tho as it's piece of mind for buyer that it doesn't need doing.

I will be getting more of my money out of it, planning on a couple of track days before selling it yet which is why i was planning on selling early next year.

it's not a bad Monaco to be honest. paint fade here and there and small dints/chips around. a good polish it would like decent. which i'll probably do beforehand anyway.

if i was to go turbo route i want to start on something that's more modern, 197 has brembos/modern suspension/ 225 conversion is easier/looks more modern. will buy one with lots already done like I've done, let someone else spend the money! :D I've learned my lessons on sinking too much money into the wrong things :)

There was a post that's been removed, I replied to that as a joke.

So guys, a little help if you will.

I’ve got a Megane R26

Mileage 63,200
Full service history
Belts done before my ownership and in my owner ship,
)I picked it up on 55,000 three years ago)
Full leather recaro interior
R26.r spoiler
Front two wheels need a refurb
Brakes have a new discs and pads last year Along with both side inner/outer arms, tre’s and grams lowering springs.
Front/rear camera
Rstuning map at 265

The mods being:

Full Milltek exhaust system with sports cat
Remap by RS tuning - 265bhp
It’s induction kit with standard Available
Bigger injectors 630cc
HID kit
R26R Spoiler
Rear wiper removed - all parts kept.
Engine cover hydro dipped as seen in photo
Upgraded speakers all 6 of them. Vibe in rears and Pioneer in front and tweeters.
New JVC Double Din Stereo DAB Bluetooth DVD/CD/USB with hands free too.
ARB bushes Powerflexed.
Heko front window deflectors.
Vicovation Marcus 5 Dual cameras fitted front and back - these might be removed but it will depend on the price.
197/200 Clio Steering wheel restitched by Royal Steering Wheels.
Interia lights uprated to LEDs.
Subwoofer installed in boot but that will be removed unless agreed in price however all wiring will be left installed.

Bad points
Tear on driver side Bolster.
Rear number plate lights needs new connectors (I have the parts)
I can’t select 6th gear, unsure if it’s the short shift catching:the clutch cable or the box itself. All the other gears are silky smooth.

It doesn’t get abused I go to work and come back home and pick the kids up.

Body work is in immaculate condition could do with a de-tarring session.

Whats it worth?

04 Gold 182 - 86k Miles, Belts done in 2017 by Gaz Burnett. Exterior generally good with usual door dings and some stone chips. Car was keyed on the side but has been amateur repaired. In the last 2 years its had:

  • Full suspension refresh inc all bushings replaced at the front, inner and outer track rods and wishbones
  • New OEM engine mounts
  • Genuine 172 cup shocks
  • Eibach proline springs
  • Oil change every 6 months with fully synthetic oil (Service stamp once per year, I did it in between)
  • Brake fluid change and braided lines on front
  • Michelin Pilot sport 3's all round (5mm)
  • Stock exhaust with cat sleeved so it actually seals - center silencer removed
  • Snappy Leather/alcantara steering wheel retrim
  • Wheels powdercoated in anthracite (NSF slight scuff others perfect)
  • Receipts for every single part I have replaced or had put on the car
  • Cup spoiler
  • Everything works
Looking to sell maybe next summer for a better price or hold onto it for a long time and garage it.

Clio mk2 phase 1 Rsi - what's it worth?

Not really had the car for long, hasn't wanted for anything, just been a nice runabout for a little bit. Done about 2000 miles in ownership mostly on dual carriage ways doing 50, was intending on keeping It but too many cars to little space.
The car has a folder full of paperwork, old MOTs and service and maintenance work, its abit patchy, there are bits missing in the history but I have no doubt it's been taken care of which is evident in how it runs, oil was lovely and clear when I've brought it and looking at the cam lobes through the oil cap there was no scoring or sludge. Fully serviced the car when I brought it. Previous owner assured me the cambelt and waterpump was done but had no receipt, I took his word for it as the coolant is brand new type D coolant. I was going to do this myself for piece of mind but just havent got around to it.
No rusty filler cap or arches, seems a really solid car, paintwork shines up nicely.
Just ticked over 56,100 miles, rising slowly as I still occasionally use it.
10 months MOT.
Couple of points to note is its Had a new rear exhaust rubber and gearbox oil was changed in 2014 and headlights have been wet sanded.
Bad points are it's got a wobble on idle as I've posted on here before, been to an auto electrician who says there are no fault codes as I thought an injector, what I've been advised though is that it's an inlet manifold gasket causing it, apparently a common problem on the megane with the same engine, doesnt effect the drive though and the thermostat needs replacing, holds temperature fine, it's just weeping abit of coolant which is evident by water marks below it in the pipes and the slight usage of coolant. Wants a new rear plate doing.

No idea as to what it's worth, I know it wants those few jobs doing but other than that it's a solid rare car, cant imagine there is more than a handful of these left in odyssey blue in this condition.

What do we think this is worth

99/T BMW 530d auto in like a wine red colour, with leather etc

Done 149k, will check history.
Last owner 20 years, bought it 11/99.

Car looks ok tbf. Reg is T150 RKB. Will need mot work I think next year.

53 Plate 172

Monaco Blue

59,000 miles

I've owned it since new

MOT end of Oct-16

Part service history (Renault Dealer/Specialists up to Oct-11, 34K)

That’s when things started to go wrong with the car. Every time I booked the car in for Mot and service I had to forego the service due to the repair bills!!

Last serviced Oct-15

Belts replaced 7.5 years ago at 17K

I think the water pump needs replacing as the coolant is leaking.

The CV joints will probably need replacing as I'm getting the knocking noise when on full lock.

Rear bumper requires repairing due to scratches.

Headlight washers are missing.

Alloys have marks from kerbing but generally (apart from the above) the car is in very good condition for its age. I basically only use it to go to work and back.

Well not long after posting this some 3.5 years ago I arrived home from work one night and there was oil and coolant leaking from the car. It's been parked up on the driveway ever since!! I kept thinking I'd get it fixed one day but I drive a company car now. Crying shame but I'm just going to have to let it go.
