To cut a long story short (That will come in any FOR SALE ad if i go there) the replacement used gearbox - a 129 - that was fitted 12 months ago, has shat itself. Completely disintegrated. Just finished fitting a fuel line, fuel rail and all injectors and went for spin round the block, and then "rattle, whine, no gears" . Engine still pulls like a train as remapped to 179BHP.

Gearbox seems disintegrated. So engine runs, but doesnt move, maybe 3mph.

Best bits: Half roll cage (secured to welded plates), remapped, matched inlets, BSB exhaust, one rear quarter welded, bucket seats, AP Coilovers on front, induction kit, PMS front brace and solid top mounts, enlarged throttle body, OZ F1 rattle can black, plastidip black body.

Anyone with a ballpark at what its worth as is?

I reckon somewhere around 5k ish? I think I'd put mine up at 6k including Sabelt seat and Sabelt steering wheel or 5500 fully standard. Its slightly more miles 99k but 1 owner. I think North of that need to be super mint or very low miles or loads and loads and loads of polish 🤣.

£10-£11k maybe? After a quick look on autotrader they seem to be around that price for low mileage ones. Yours had exceptionally low miles and the desirable recaros that help but obviously its crying out for belts doing. I don't think rare colours make any difference on these does it?

That’s a decent price tbh mate - it has the recaros and low miles.
I am not sure red suits the 250 though? I prefer the 275 with the new front end in red.
And the unwritten rule of the mk3 Meggy is it HAS to be lowered - cook sports or coil overs!

I thought the price was about right tbh with miles and recaros. Will have a chat next week see where he is.

When I was looking it had to be Oyster Grey or Sports Yellow - with all the options, that why it took so blooming long.
What happened to the R26 search mate?

First choice would have been white and 7k. But that was so last year lol.

R26 are either very few and far between. Knackered or close to 250 money. We'll maybe not close but not a million miles off. Its more finding one.

Yes the price on the decent ones has gone up leaving quite a gap between good and bad.
Agreed on the R26 comment - I wouldn’t have another when the mk3 is so bloody good and is so much better looking (when lowered).

Red is not that desirable in the colours available on the 250(although I like it).

Good options on that, especially with Recaros. Will need to budget for major service, belts, plugs, oil, all filters, plus anything else you find.

I personally think 11k is a bit on the high side, however the market has gone a bit mad! I think 10k is reasonable with the mileage.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't really sure because the prices for all 1*2s are all over the place.
It's only 100 miles from me, so quite close. Sent more photos/videos and think looks mint, it's his third garaged car he currently has so i'm putting trust in he's a bit of a collector and it will be that clean..

I may have my clio 200 for sale in the coming months and can't think of a sensible price for it,
Its an AG factory cup pack with recaros, it is actually the press car that autocar used against the focus rs on youtube.

I have owned it for around 4 years and as a mechanic have done anything to it that it would need, it has had the following

4x new michellin ps4 on in the last 6 months
power flex lower arm, top and bottom engine mounts
new swivel hub bearings on the n/s and o/s int the last 6 months
cam belt and water pump done by myself approx 2 years ago, will have to check. With invoices and photo proof
gearbox refurbed and genuine renault clutch kitapprox 2 years ago
serviced religiously and great history prior to me
delphi front discs and pads fitted in the last 5 months
Has a decent sonyhead unit fitted with DAB etc, front speakers have been upgraded
yellow speed coil overs from cam racing fitted in the last 6 months
HEL braided hoses front and rear
probably much much more that i can't remember right now

I believe its done just over 90k
body work is in good condition but has got the occasional mark, wheels have started to get slightly scabby, the recaros have the usual tear in the drivers seat bolster but passengers is mint. I would trust this car to get me anywhere without fail, I have just done a 1300 mile trip in it without any problems

Has got a private plate on but will be back on the original which is HV09 YDG

I don't want to sell the car but an upcoming house purchase, may mean i need to. Just need a rough price of what its worth to see if i can justify keeping it. As I'm in the trade i have the option to sell privately or stick it on the forecourt

It actually looks like a 200 CUP , not a cup pack. Cup is more desirable. No idea on a price though.

Not taxed or MOTd so need trailer. Has been looked after by Tylah motorsport after every few trackdays as he's very good, very reasonable and until recently was 1 mile away!

How do I value?
Probably best to work out what the minimum you want out of it is and start a bit above that. Not the best time to be selling a track car on the run up to Xmas though!

So its on 107k or thereabouts, and I've had it for 2 years.
Some maintenance highlights:
Oct 21 Engine mount and Black series insert
May 21 new rear discs, pads and a hard line
April 21 Poly dog bone
Jan 21 new windscreen
Oct 19 new exhaust
Sept 19 new OEM shocks x4 with H&R springs

Issues (see pics)
Following a loss of drive (which I put down to the NS shaft), but on removal, it appears the retaining ring has sheared its 4 bolts. Leaving 2 x 5mm bits of stud and 2 x sheared flush.
Advice from the forum was to either drill out and retap or drill / tap for new bolt positions in the casing.
Pin prick type ding on the bonnet
Slight crease on one of the doors
Due belts

No visible signs of rust on the rear arches. Any guidance gratefully received.

Hi All,

I have a RB Clio 182 FF 121k few marks here and there fair bit of history with it but belts need doing. I have had it for 4.5 years done less than 2k in it in that time.
Ive had all new brake discs and pads ds2500 all round, braided brake lines, it has Recaro trendlines and the old ones, set of std wheels, set of turinis on it and a set of Clio oz f1 wheels in orange with new Toyo r888. What do you value this lot at or the car on its own. Thanks

Think I asked about 6 months ago but all the 172 cups around at the moment seem like they are priced higher now (whether they're selling or not is another thing 🤣) so thought I'd get some opinions as I'm going to put it up for sale once the mot is done this week.

52 plate 172 cup
Mileage is 146k, engine was replaced earlier this year and has done 30k less than the car and gearbox was replaced last year and is about 20k lower than the car.
Belts, dephaser, water pump done in May this year with receipts.
New valeo clutch fitted when the box was done.
All injectors have been replaced.
Michelin PS3's all round, fronts are a couple months old and rears have about 4mm.
All the discs and pads are fairly recent and new bosch rear brake valve and Goodridge hoses were fitted last year.
New genuine cup dampers about 2.5 years ago.
Manifold back exhaust system with sports cat.

Bodywork has a few car park dings and there are a couple of small dents in the bonnet and a 5p size area where the laquer has started to come off. Will come with a decent set of foglights too to replace the 2 goldfish bowls currently fitted 😆

If there is no rot etc in the usual places then thats got to be a 2.5k starting price for me.

My mum is going to sell her z4 which she very rarely drives, and now won’t drive due to ill health.. aren’t many for sale so just wondering on value. Just need to get plate taken off and stickers removed
