How much is my car worth

I am thinking of selling my clio and buying either a valver or a 2.0 megane.

It is an R-reg 1.4 Sport spec as follows:

38K miles with SH, 14" alloys with 4 brand new tyres, 12 months mot, cat 1 alarm/immobiliser, elec windows, sunroof, pas etc in blue metallic.

How much should I ask for?

Thanks

Work it out using goal-seeking:-

Find the car you want to buy - establish the price.
Work out how much of your existing dosh you are willing to put towards it
Ask enough for your old car to fund the difference!
Wow Im cooking with gas today!

Anyhow, according to Parkers.co.uk, a 1.4RT (no Sport listed) is:

A1- £3275

Good - £2800

Fair - £1680

Trade (whatever that means) - £2240

It didnt ask whether the car was an import or not LOL!

The 1.4 sport is worth a fair bit more than the 1.4rt, well from what I found out when helping someone get another car. (They are rarer for a start, well thats what I found)

I think you should be looking for at least £400 over what parkers gives for a 1.4rt. Below are a couple I found on Autotrader, just for examples :)

1997 RENAULT Clio 1.4 Sports Maxim 1997/R, Lavender blue, alloys, s/r, p/s, e/w, r/c/l, immobiliser, drivers airbag, one previous owner, fsh, tax/ MoT November, vgc ono Poole or . . . . (private) more info £3,500

1998 RENAULT CLIO 1.4 SPORT, TRANSAUTO 1998, R reg . 39000 miles, mauve, airbag, alloys, c/locking, e/windows, stereo, s/roof, two owners . Tel: (0118) 957 . . . . (trade) more info £3,799
