been a year since owning my clio - we all know how much they have dropped in price over the past year.

but how much has ur clio costing to run per year.

basic expenese are:

insurance-700
tax-220
service-240
mot-45
tyres-100
fuel-500 (figures from credit card invoices) average 40 per month
estimated loss in value-1000
main mods-coilovers+ktr 182 exhaust-1000
car wash-50
headunit upgrade-70

well its almost impossible to quantify, but mines depreciated at least 3k since i bought it 10 months ago, so i'd imagine over 5k.

Insurance - Covered by my motor trade insurance that comes out of business money. - £0

Fuel - Around £200 a Year (50Litres a month of Bio-fuel )

Tax - Car came with tax

MOT - £26

Insurance: £600 (was in my mums name, not anymore)
Fuel: £1800 (bout £100/month plus trips)
Parts: £500
Tax: £120
Total: £3220

Just seen this an thought I'd have a look at the real cost of the car....

Had it 20 months and its been taxed and on the road for 15 of them, these are the costs so far.... which most have been in the last year

Insurance: £765.65 + whatevr I had left over for 3 months from my old car
Tax: £270ish for 18 months
Petrol: £1227 = 6000 miles @ average 22mpg @ average £4.50 Gallon (I think)
Maintenance 1 = Cambelt, water pump, clutch + slave cylinder, rear discs and pads, MOT, Service (spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter)
PARTS = £1,205.66
LABOUR = £562.50
TOTAL WITH VAT = £2,211.88

Maintenance 2 = Power steering pump broke and new AUX belt kit
PARTS = £183.34
LABOUR = £112.50
TOTAL WITH VAT = £347.61

Coils = £161.70 (got a couple spare still)

2 Rear tyres = £196

Before it gets back on the road on the 1st April it needs new front discs, pads and at least a set of rear tyres.

TOTAL = £4474.53

for a f**king renault.
