How much negative camber?

  RB Clio 182
Hi, i have tried searching but i cant find what im looking for :(

I have et37 ultraleggeras, with 5mm rear spacers and 20mm front spacers.

The fronts are rubbing slightly so im thinking negative camber will sort this?

Im going to buy some camber bolts for the fronts, and shims for the rears.

Will fitting rear shims be ok to use as well as having 5mm spacers fitted, this wont effect anything, i.e needing longer bolts or anything?

Also, how much degrees front and rear do people recommend?

Thanks for any help.

iirc 1 degree will move the top of the wheel in by 1cm. Go measure how much it needs to move by and go with that. I had some 10mm hub spacers fitted with camber shims with (far as i'm aware) standard bolts so you should be fine

Thanks for the reply mate, im thinking about 1.5 degree shims and adjust the fronts to 1.5 degrees.

Im thinking of ordering these...

Put an extra 1deg on the back and 2deg up front, any thing more on the back and you'll have something like 3 deg rear and 1.5 front which is stupid to me.

Everything will still fit with current bolts and so on but I bet it will still rub on the inner arch liner where it covers the bumper bracket.

Thanks for the reply mate, is there any other way of sorting the rubbing on the arch liner?

Can it be cut down or anything to stop it catching?

I just left mine to rub away a little hole and you very rarely had it scrape after that, mine was a track car on et30 16's with RSR's which are quite chunky in profile.

I just read your other thread and you have an equivalent of et17 wheels so you will most likely always get problems while being lowered on 16's and lowered but just have a look at the arch liner, its probably made witness marks already.

Cheers everyone, ill have a look tomorrow to see the evidence, im going to go for a bit of camber anyway, you never know it might help.

If not then ill have a hack at my arch liner, or just leave it to wear away, the spacers look too good to take off :D

I asked you to take one because I also have some rubbing issues on the front. Unfortunatelly in my case the grinder is the only solution..
