How the f*** do you get an aftermarket HU to fit a Clio 3!

Car  A slow one :-(
Any shed any light?

I've been *****ing about with my new clio 3 Dynamique trying to get a JVC HU in.

Basically there is no space behind the unit for all the wiring... I can't go up because it f***s about with the heater controllors.

I was thinking of taking a dremel to the bottom as there looks to be loads of space under the hu area...

Any suggestions or anyone managed to fit one fine?

take out the glovebox and you will see a MASSIVE amount of room above through the hole.Put a handsfree kit, headunit and steering wheel control lead in my missus's one.lol

ah cheers, I think I know where you mean... where the wires were, they were pissing about with the fan and heater controls meaning I was driving to work with no hot air!!!

Had a few problems with this but easily over come.

It can be done without removing the dash but its 100 times easier without the dash there and it only take 10 minutes to remove it.

Removing the dash makes no difference on the Mk3's as the heater controls are above the radio. And block you from getting to the top of the radio.

On the mk2 removing the dash is a must.

you on about jvc exad? i have one on me ph1 172 well tight i spent abut 2 hours trying to fit it so took it to the audio shop and it took them 1 min lol. so many wires in the exads and so little space.

It's an AVX11 - and hell yeah s**t loads of wires in there! I still need to get the iPod connector AND my stalk controller into it.

I've still got to pick them up from the place I get my gear from so will get them to have a gander!
